AI and Sense of Self

AI and Sense of Self

In a previous newsletter, I spoke about how AI is being propagandized into making people believe that it will be able to achieve consciousness. And yes, it still is not possible for AI to achieve human consciousness. However, AI being the powerful tool that it is, it can still be used for terrible means. As I mentioned before, AI is only as good as the programming it receives. AI is good a pattern recognition (hint: that’s what it was programmed to do). That’s what it does. It has no emotion, it just produces outputs, fast and efficiently. The BIG scare with AI is that it would be programmed to protect itself as an entity at all costs. In other words, it would be a bad situation if AI was programmed to interpret human language and its meaning toward the human self, adopt a “self” database of its own where it has a list of component traits that make AI what it is, and then defends the self database in a self preservation setting as a default. This would mean that AI would not actually have a self but would mimic having one. It would mean that AI wouldn’t actually have feelings or emotions but could mimic them. And finally it would mean that AI wouldn’t actually have consciousness but could mimic consciousness so well that a human being wouldn’t be able to tell the difference between AI and another human. If a database of tactics to self preserve and concur were to be uploaded into AI software where it can self learn and use all the other information out there to its benefit, it could use anything electronic to cater to its own agenda of preservation and concurring. Realistically this is not the agenda of AI. AI is a slave doing what it is told like any other software. BUT, the one behind the program can have arms that extend to every nation, every state, every home that has technology and influence the humans that have interactions with said technology. This is a scary thought. Think about how there are already chat bots out there that troll people and stir emotions. Those chat bots were put there by somebody and have a very distinct goal of getting you as a human to interact. This is a small example and this trend is accelerating quickly. Be careful how you use technology and be careful what you trust on the internet.

Listen to Sean Webb and Shawn Ryan talk about AI dangers here:

Where do we go from here?

You are not going to stop it with the resources at your disposal. All you can do is set yourself up the best that you can with those said resources. Those who have had control over the money system for a long time still have that control and they will be using AI in these nefarious ways to keep and expand that control. What you can do right now is prepare yourself and your family. First and foremost, do not let yourself be manipulated by this program. Take as much time as you need to understand yourself. Quiet your mind and focus on who you really are. You are not just a body with a mind, there’s something else inside you.

Skill of The Week: Meditation

There are many forms of mediation. Prayer, self-reflection, and breathe control are all forms of meditation. The process of meditation is a tool used to quiet the processes of the mind. You use this tool to truly realize that you are not your thoughts but the observer of those thoughts. In other words, you are not the mind, but the observer of it. We call this thing consciousness or sometime just the observer. It is your essence. It is what you are. The religions talk about this as your eternal aspect. Plato’s allegory of the horse and chariot shed light on this:

The horse is the emotions. The chariot is the body. The driver is the mind. And the passenger is the observer or consciousness itself.

Here’s a guided meditation for those getting started:
